Are home batteries worth considering in NSW?
A battery can shift some of your daytime solar generation into evening use. Whether that helps financially depends on when your household consumes electricity, the size and condition of existing solar, export rates, tariffs, system cost and whether backup power matters to you.
Look at several quarters of bills rather than one unusually high or low period. A site-specific design should distinguish installed battery capacity from usable capacity, nominate any backed-up circuits and explain how charging and export would work on your current tariff.
